Chicken Sotanghon Soup




I recommended serving this soup during rainy seasons or feeling under the weather. Best served specially if your are having a fever, those would force the sweat out of you. Although during the time of this writing, the country is mourning with the passing of an inspiration and a champion of the law. We salute you Ma'am! Chicken Curry




Growing up as a kid during the 80's, I would recall my mother cooking this very same dish every Sunday where relatives and friends would come to our house for a friendly visit. As you can see, this dish have both meat and vegetable in it. And not to mention it has a spicy and savory sauce that could really give true meaning to the famous Filipino phrase "sarsa pa lang, ulam na!"

You could literally see a lot of food stands that sells this dish practically everywhere. However, nothing beats the taste of one home cooked meal. Though the preparations takes too long. But the satisfaction and the joy brought about by the taste. It just feels like heaven on earth.

I learned this recipe during my visits with my in-laws in Quezon province. This is their native delicacy and most often served on special occasions such as birthdays and despedida party. I adapted this dish and added a little twist on it.
