Let us forget about our blood pressure for a while. And just indulge ourselves for a little pork to remedy your cravings. For safety measures though, let's drink pineapple juice later. Hehehe! 'njoy!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg Lean Pork Belly
- 1 whole Garlic. minced
- 1 whole Onion, diced
- 1/3 cup Oyster Sauce
- 1 pitcher of water (or enough to cover pork)
- 4-6 fresh Oregano leaves
- 1 tsp AJI-Ginisa Flavor Mix
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp five spice powder
- salt and pepper
Cooking Procedure:
- Add water and salt in a deep casserole and bring to a boil.
- Add pork belly, garlic, onion, oyster sauce, oregano and pepper.
- Cover and cook until tender, or around 20-30 minutes.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine salt, sugar, paprika, chili powder, five spice powder, ground black pepper, and AJI-Ginisa mix. Mix well.
- Remove pork from casserole and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Poke the skin with fork or tip of knofe then wipe dry with paper towel.
- Then rub the seasoning into the meat, but do not coat the skin.
- Place in a small rack, then rub the skin with rock salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven or turbo broiler 200C for 1 hour.
- Slice the meat then serve.
Tips:
- Make a horizontal slice on the meat but not completely. This is to make sure the meat is cooked through perfectly.
